On 23 April 2018, Bill 7290, modifying several articles of the Labor Code, was introduced to the Chamber of Deputies. The Bill would simplify and make paperless certain administrative processes pertaining to the election of staff delegations. Employers would be required to submit forms on a new online platform managed by the Inspectorate of Labor and Mines. If passed the new legislation would enter into force early 2019.
